  • Stunning foliage
  • Can be used as a cut or “living Christmas tree”
  • Low maintenance tree perfect mixed with other evergreens or as a standalone specimen

Arizona Cypress will bring the “blues” to your landscape, but it’s the kind of “blues” that makes you happy to be alive! These are conical growing evergreens in the Cypress family with a lovely silver-blue sheen that stands out to liven up any garden all year long. Cupressus arizonica (botanical name) is the only cypress native to the Southwest and is a larger tree when mature, though it tends to stay at a medium size in most landscapes. We like to plant them in front yards as a stand-alone specimen, where many like to use them as a living Christmas tree! The compact, dense form makes them an excellent addition to a privacy screen planting, blocking unwanted views and being an effective windbreak. These are great trees with fabulous color and striking features that are sure to add curb appeal!

With a little maintenance, your yard can have a vibrant Arizona Cypress tree. It loves the sun, so a place in your landscape with plenty of full sun exposure for best for development. They are fast-growing trees with low to moderate water requirements once established. And since they have a very high heat tolerance and adaptable soil requirements, they love to grow in our local climate!

Trees such as the Arizona Cypress are a welcome addition to any landscape, so if you’re looking to spruce up your yard with evergreen trees, you can do no wrong with this cypress. We have experienced and professional planting crews equipped with everything they need to get the job done. Large or small, once complete, your yard is sure to be the envy of your neighborhood!
